Dan was on-campus running several events when members of his team came to him needing one-on-one chats to be set up the next day with dozens of candidates. He was desperate; he did not have enough time using his existing tools, he would’ve had to use shared excel and hundreds of emails to pull this off. It would have been impossible.
Dan logged on to Piazza; in 30 minutes, he was armed with the tools to make a schedule of 40 students to be interviewed the next day. He added interviewers to the schedule he’d created, and handed signup links out to be sent to the candidates they wished to meet with. Engineers were able to run their interviews seamlessly without any follow-up needed from him. It made their event a success, where it otherwise would’ve been a disaster.
Now, in prep for his on-campus events, instead of spending time coordinating logistics and scheduling with students, he launches virtual resume drops and campaigns on Piazza. He connects with students before his events, and has a richer experience at his events, all because his time is freed up to engage in higher leverage activities.
